Diana Faye Heidinger

Diana Faye Heidinger (Hafner) 71 departed this world Thursday, October 8, 2020 to be with her Lord, family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and MaryJane Hafner, and her brother Terry Hafner. She was born February 9th, 1949, in Harvey North Dakota, and grew up on a farm just outside of Sykeston, North Dakota. She attended St Elizabeth Catholic School, and finished schooling at Sykeston High School. She attended Jamestown beauty school for hair dressers, and graduated in 1969. She was wed to James Heidinger on May 25th 1968, and made their home in Jamestown North Dakota for the first year, living in a 10X25 mobile home until she graduated from beauty college. They then moved to Sykeston, where Diana was employed part time as a hair stylist working in Carrington until they moved to the Minot, North Dakota area to the town of Surrey, North Dakota. She was employed in Minot as a hair stylist from 1977 to 1985, where James was employed with the Burlington Northern Railroad. In 1985 the railroad business moved them to Fargo, North Dakota, until 1997, when they were again moved by railroad to Topeka, Kansas, where residence remains today.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Lisa (Tony) Habig, and BillieJo (Dennis) Cowley, 4 Grandchildren, Ashley (Thomas) Stillings, Kasey Widner, Amber Heidinger, and Dallan Cowley, and 5 Great Grandchildren Alyssa Stillings, Anna Stillings, Thomas Stillings jr, Natalia Widner, and Cali Heidinger. A sister-in-law, Beverly Hafner, and nephews Troy (Connie) Hafner, and Travis (Amy) Hafner, and special Cousin Sheila Hoyt.

• A gravesite memorial will be planned for the spring of 2021 in Sykeston, North Dakota

  1. My heart goes out to the family and dear friends of
    Diana, we called her Diane in school. I Graduated with
    Diane and her best friend Sheila. Were one went you
    were for sure to see the other. We will put her in
    our prayers and to keep her alive in our hearts.
