Wayne E. Ralph

Mr. Wayne E. Ralph peacefully passed away on June 23, 2020 in Topeka, Kansas at the age of 77.  He is survived by his wife Sharon Ann Ralph of Carbondale, KS; daughter Robbin Ann Hug and spouse Dean Hug of Hoyt, KS; son Christopher Wayne Ralph Parman and spouse Joel Kinnamon of Palm Springs, CA; granddaughter Lindsey Bailey and spouse Kenny Bailey of Hoyt, KS; granddaughter Lacy Hug of Hoyt, KS; and brother Alvin Ralph and spouse Bonnie Ralph of Topeka, KS.

Wayne Ralph was born on April 11, 1943 in Pittsburg, KS to Clarence and Minnie Ralph. He graduated from College High Laboratory School of Kansas State College of Pittsburg in 1961 and married his wife Sharon Vineyard of Topeka, KS of 56 years on March 19, 1964.  Over the years, Wayne worked as an auto mechanic, earthmover tire inspector at the Goodyear Tire Plant in Topeka, KS for 15 years, and later went on to own and operate Ralph’s Lawn Service, Hooterville Garden Center and Hooterville Flea Market.  Everyone who knew him best remembers his love of animals, passion for fishing, organic gardening, working outdoors, and his great sense of humor through his thousands of jokes and stories. 

An informal celebration of life is scheduled for Friday, June 24, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Hooterville Flea Market, Outdoor Lawn, 12165 S. Topeka Avenue, Carbondale, KS. Enjoy music, continental breakfast, and share stories with family and friends.  No formal service.  Attendees are asked to dress casually, wear facial coverings and social distance.   1. So very sorry to hear about Wayne & thinking about you and your family. He will be missed by all those who knew him. He always had a great joke or fishing story to tell to anyone who came into Hooterville.
