Linda Rose Hutcherson of Topeka, KS died Friday, July 19, 2019 at Stormont Vail hospital surrounded by loved ones. She was born October 28, 1941, the 10th child of Charles A. and Frances L. (Allen) Hutcherson. She was 77 years old.
Surviving family members include: Alvina Hutcherson of Topeka, KS, Sarah Guesby (Kevin) of Topeka, KS, Eva Hutcherson of Emporia, KS, Coralie Hutcherson of Emporia, KS, Michael Hutcherson Sr. of Omaha, NE, and her name sake Linda Blanchard (Broderick) of Fort Worth, TX. She is survived by her sister and Partner in Crime, Sarah Chambers of Emporia, KS. Linda has 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Host of Nieces, Nephews and other family members.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Frances Hutcherson; four sisters, Charlene Harrison, Aletha Smith, Leanna Tucker and Joy Beavers; four brothers Charles A. Hutcherson Jr., Allen F. Hutcherson, Thomas N. Hutcherson and Robert L. Hutcherson. Also by her twin babies Elaine and Dwayne Hutcherson and Granddaughter Destiny Hutcherson.
Linda was a very loving mother. She owned a home in Topeka, where she lived at the time of her death. Emporia is where she was raised and lived the majority of her life. She was affectionally known as Aunt Linda or Momma Linda. She as a member of the Village Mothers that the eastside children of Emporia grew up with.
She worked in healthcare as a CMA for many years and also worked in housekeeping and janitorial until she retired in 1998. Linda was a member of St. James Baptist Missionary Church, Emporia, KS.
Cremation is planned with a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 pm., Saturday July 27, 2019 at St. James Baptist Missionary Church, Emporia, KS.
